We are seeking a passionate and skilled Software Engineer II to contribute to the design, development, testing, and integration of complex software systems that power critical aerospace applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that support flight management systems, cockpit displays, environmental control systems, and engine control systems across commercial, regional, business, general aviation, space, and defense sectors. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions, solving challenging problems, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes. The Thunderbolt CoE is chartered with leading the effort toward realizing greater software development efficiency and improved software quality throughout Aerospace orginization.  To drive these initiatives, the Thunderbolt CoE has highly talented individuals to drive system,software architecture, design, best practices, for platform design and development across aero products. The Thunderbolt CoE performs design, development and Level A certification of the Boot, Platform Abstraction Layer (PAL), Device Drivers, Middleware IO and network/communciation stacks.The candidate needs to have strong embedded platform technical skills, be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal), and work as team member in a global team.

Role and Responsibilities :

• Engage in coding, testing, and debugging software applications under the guidance of more experienced engineers.
• Actively learn about the technologies, tools, and processes used within the team and organization, along with improving technical skills.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to established coding standards.
• Work closely with team members, participating in meetings and discussions to understand project requirements and updates.
• Document code, processes, and methodologies to maintain high clarity within the team regarding project developments.
• Help in identifying issues in existing applications and participate in the resolution process.
• Assist in project planning and execution, including time management to meet deadlines for assigned tasks and contributions to projects.
• Seek to improve personal efficiency and team productivity, suggesting improvements where applicable.

Education and Skills :

• 0 to 2 years of technology related experience in product / startup companies, working on Microsoft technologies.
• Good understanding in abstraction, coding and system design skills and a deep passion and curiosity for new technology.
• Understanding and experience of C#.Net, WPF, WCF.
• Understanding and experience of the C/C++, MFC and object-oriented concepts.
