Role and Responsibility :
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing excellence in customer service support, diagnosis, replication, resolving technical issues of simple, complex, and critical service requests at enterprise Infrastructure Landscape. The focus of this position is to provide Customer Service on Infrastructure space and to ultimately drive complete and total resolution of each issue reported by Itron employees and users.
- Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
- Develop processes for optimizing database security.
- Set and maintain database standards.
- Manage database access and performance tuning of database systems.
- Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
- Create automation for repeating database tasks.
- Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role.
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
- PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Skills :
- BE, BTech, MCA or equivalent from recognized University. Other qualifications with adequate experience may be considered.
- Basic understanding of maintaining SQL Databases.
- Query Optimization and tuning of existing database schemas as well as database views.
- Skills in the area of capacity planning and physical database design.
