Job Description :
AspenTech is looking for an Associate Technical Writer to join our Digital Grid Management product documentation team. In this role, you will use your passion for communication to help translate complex technical concepts into comprehensive, user-centric content that is easy to understand. You will work collaboratively with other Technical Writers and development teams to ensure DGM customers have all the information needed to effectively use our industry-leading products.

Role and Responsibility :
- Research, write and edit documentation such as configuration guides, user’s guides and other related technical materials.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of products to efficiently manage and deliver complex software documentation that meets the needs of the target audience.
- Work closely with development teams, subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to continually improve documentation.
- Utilize ticket tracking system to ensure tasks stay on track and deadlines are met.
- Apply design and style guides to existing documentation to ensure consistent look and feel across the documentation library.
Education and Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical/Professional Writing, English, Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 0-2 years of experience developing software or technical documentation.
- Ability to quickly learn complex topics and software applications.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Thorough understanding of how to translate complex information into concise, easy-to-follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exposure to XML-based documentation authoring software, such as MadCap Flare preferred.
- Knowledge of HTML and web publishing preferred.
- Understanding of Agile methodology preferred.
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Jira and Jama preferred.
