We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Analyst – Calculation Compliance
Job Title : Analyst

Role and Responsibility :
- Calculation Compliance assessment teams will be structured in ‘pods’ comprising of an Assessor and an Analyst.
- The Calculation Compliance Analyst will analyse and interpret calculation and disclosure logic documentation for the system under review. This is required to enable Assessments against regulatory requirements with consideration to any HSBC policy determinations and disclosure guidelines.
- The role holder will also define test data scenarios or expected results to support substantive assessments of HSBC’s conformance with regulatory requirements, instructions and interpretations.
- The role holder will liaise with system owners to agree the test plans, data, environment, and any system or ESG subject matter expertise resources that are required to support testing.
- The role holder will drive test execution and ensure that all test results are documented on a timely basis for detailed review by the pod Assessor, who will opine on the findings and utilise the results to produce a Calculation Compliance Assessment. The role holder will ensure there is supporting evidence of the calculation or reporting logic and test outcomes.
Education and Skills :
- Any Engineering Graduate
- Demonstrable understanding of one or more regulatory rule areas and ability to assimilate knowledge of ESG regulatory requirements.
- Experience in defining comprehensive test scenarios, ensuring all derivations of a requirement are captured.
- Expertise in SQL with ability to interpret complex logic, prepare test scripts and explain findings in a non-technical manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
