Role and Responsibility :
- Analyze telemetry and trace data, with support from experienced engineers, to understand software and hardware behavior on individual devices and at scale.
- Investigate system issues using debugging and performance-analysis tools.
- Identify optimization opportunities and contribute to the design and implementation of improvements.
- Develop, test, and maintain code that improves experiences across operating-system and application layers.
- Deliver reliable, high-quality solutions by following sound engineering practices and incorporating feedback from code and design reviews.
- Use data to evaluate solutions, validate improvements, and support engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with team members and partner teams to deliver improvements across the Windows ecosystem.
Education and Skills :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Other Requirements:Â Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check:Â This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Â
