Role and Responsibility :
- Develop and implement web scrapers to gather information from specified sources using Python and libraries such as BeautifulSoup (BS4).
- Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure its quality and readiness for analysis.
- Analyze cleaned data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Create compelling visualisations of the data using Python libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with team members to support data analysis and project objectives.
- Document all processes and methodologies used in data scraping, cleaning, and visualisation.
Education and skills:
- Currently pursuing or completed courses in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience using libraries like BeautifulSoup, Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib/Seaborn for data scraping, processing, and visualisation.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS) and an understanding of the structure of web pages.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in finding solutions to data-related issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
