Job Title : Junior DevOps Engineer
Job Type : Full Time
Location : Kochi
Experience : Fresher – 1 Year
Role and Responsibility :
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Learn to write and maintain infrastructure code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components.
- Version Control: Gain proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) for code and configuration management.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab etc.. for automating software builds, testing, and deployments.
- Automation: Develop basic automation scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to streamline manual processes and tasks, and gradually improve scripting skills over time.
- Monitoring and Logging: Get familiar with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios,Icinga2, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and learn to set up basic monitoring and logging for applications and infrastructure.
- Containerization: Learn about container technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Understand the principles of containerization and how to create, manage, and deploy containers.
- Cloud Services: Gain exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and assist in deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to facilitate communication and collaboration, ensuring that development and operations are aligned on DevOps practices.
- Security: Follow best practices for security and assist in implementing security measures within the DevOps process, such as secure coding, access controls, and vulnerability scanning.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and organized documentation of processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and resolving issues related to software, infrastructure, and deployments
Education and Skills :
- Basic knowledge of programming and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A strong desire to work in a collaborative and fast-paced DevOps environment.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- Exposure to container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Understanding of software development principles and agile methodologies.
